| The director about the film: La viande + L’amour is a stop motion animated film. One minute long, The sort of short film I like to watch. It is like a short cut from a crecendo in a romantic film. Maybe the happy ending, maybe a farewell. The material I have schosen to use in the animation makes people fell uncomfortable, as a contrast to the tender action. Are we enjoying or do we feel disgusted? In the beginning I thought about the film as a parody of a romantic comedy. But the more I thought the more I understood that it is something more, There are both darkness and light. For me, as a vegetarian, it was of course a special challenge to animate with intestines. I don´t want the audience to feel bad because of the meat. I want to give a feeling of romance and love. Too bring you in a good mood. To forget about the material and see the love in the faces on the screen. |
